The Shifty Scholarship Fund was started by Brad Couvillon,
a very well known and knowledgeable 5er enthusiast.
Brad, aka Shifty, wanted to attend 5er Fest 2003 in
Boone, NC -- but at the time couldn't afford to drive
the distance from Louisiana, pay for entry fees and
lodging. Because of Brad's enthusiasm for the event,
private individuals pulled together to pay his way to
the event.
During the awards ceremony at 5er Fest 2003, Brad pledged
to start the Shifty Fund in order to send a deserving
individual to 5er Fest each year, who else otherwise
might not be able to make it.
His spirit, love for BMW 5ers and camaraderie is noted
each year by awarding one 5er Enthusiast the funds needed
to attend 5er Fest.
The funds to pay for that individual's attendance comes
from private donations. On behalf of Brad, the 5er Fest
event team and the 5er community, we appreciate your
donations.
